The outcrop - - El Portet

Went down to Salcombe for a few days and we stayed at a great Hotel - the Harbour Beach Club at South Sands - this is the view from the hotel as the sun rises ! It was a good opportunity to do some smaller pieces and continue to build my new portfolio . Keith

Just finished this painting and hoping to get its ready to go in my new collection of atmospheric landscapes - we will see when i get back to it in a week . Its never finished until its framed ! Its called "After the Summer 2026" - oil 100 X 70 cms September is off to a good start and I was hoping to produce something to enter the Royal Institute of oil Painters Exhibition 2026 but, maybe i will have to wait till 2027 .

This month has been busy with painting, as I've added two more pieces to my collection, which I will call "A Moment of Quiet Reflection," and experimented with a few new pieces focusing on different themes. My framer, Zach (from Up in Frames in Hove), has been diligently working, and I'm starting to fill the walls of our home while we continue to expand our new collection in 2026. So Studio is almost built but desperate to get out and get going . Joind the Brighton Urban sketcher group at Hove ststion today and had a very good time. The group is a great place to develop and explore my drawing skills . Starting this week i take on the the portrait course -- another opportunity to increase my skill level .

January 2026 - The construction project is in progress, and my dream of having a studio dedicated to my art is just three months from becoming a reality. The four-room loft conversion by Amazing Spaces will provide me with a spacious studio, offering all the light and functionality I could ever need.
